After coming here for many years on holiday,  Nic  and Jasmine Welch  decided that St Lucia was the place for them to create a new life. Tropica Gardens was originally opened in the late 80’s, and then in the mid 90’s closed again and the property fell in to disrepair. Since acquiring the property, this love struck family has been working non stop to make the house and gardens into one of the finest tourist attractions in St. Lucia. They look upon this project as a labor of love as they want to give something back to the “Simply Beautiful” island they now live in.
 


"We have been coming to St. Lucia for almost ten years now, and fell in love with the Island from day one" Nic explained as our Serenity Vacations ambassadors enjoyed a morning of garden splendor, "our dream had always been to live here full time, as we ourselves come from an even smaller Island in the English Channel, therefore Island life is in our blood so to speak ,although St Lucia is special and unique".  They  have returned the gardens to, and added from its original, concept 10 years ago more species and items of interest. In a World so polluted and spoils in all kinds of ways, it is truly refreshing and comforting to know that there are still magical and unspoilt places, blessed with natural beauty , such a place is here in St Lucia at Tropica. The garden has most of the flowers, plants, fruits and trees found in the West Indies plus other exotic plants that have been brought into the Island.
